Hillary DeJarnett grew up in the Salvation Army and always had a passion for social justice, wanting to make a difference in high-risk communities. Through merging her passion with her work, Hillary seeks to be an agent of hope and change for inner-city communities that have been marked by hopelessness and injustice. She recently graduated with her Master’s in Non-Profit Management from the University of Georgia. While in college, she worked with a local organization that helped transition women out of working in the sex industry. She is now working with the Salvation Army as the Anti-Trafficking Coordinator for the Southern Territory advocating for justice and educating others on this issue.
Capt. Sandra has been a Salvation Army officer for several years and a long time advocate for the empowerment of women especially those who have been oppressed. She has spent hours doing prayer walks in her neighborhood and bringing cupcakes to ladies working at strip clubs just to show that she cared. Capt. Sandra has offered spiritual guidance and emotional support to any woman who has joined HavenATL as well as the staff itself. Her hope is to see more women walking in freedom and truth.
